#1 WHY EGG SHAPED ENCLOSURE?
Shape of the enclosure has a vital role in the performance of the loudspeaker. Moving of speakers causes sound waves with very complex mixture in terms of frequency, amplitude, phase etc. If the shape is rectangular with parallel walls at certain frequencies two bad things may happen: the walls will start to vibrate due to interference and they will act as additional speakers, but without control. So the general sound will be unpredictable mix of the sound caused by the speakers and enclosure’s walls. Second: standing waves will occur inside the cabinet which will raise enormously certain frequencies and will defeat other. So, why most of the loudspeakers have a shape like kitchen cabinets? Because it’s easy and cheap to do and many loudspeakers manufacturers do not manufacture the enclosures indeed but over source them to cabinets manufacturers. We decided to go to the difficult way: we chose a shape which prevents both a.m. phenomenon. This shape is oval.

Venus PRO 5.5 SM takes the best from the extremely rigid egg shaped cast marble enclosure. The enclosure guarantee non resonance and standing waves free performance of the studio quality speakers. We used high end 5.5” coaxial speaker with 1” neodymium tweeter which deliver uniform sound in any acoustical environment. Venus PRO 5.5 SM especially suitable for public spaces like stores, cafes, venues etc. In addition Venus PRO 5.5 SM is powerful. Each one delivers 120W RMS, which makes it dependable and ready for a hard work. In addition we used high quality automotive lacquers which are very durable. All these feature make Venus PRO 5.5 SM suitable for outdoor use without to be exposed to direct water.

Venus PRO 5.5 SM is not just another awesome looking loudspeaker designed and made by EBTB. Before to start it’s development we researched the weak points both in the loudspeakers and acoustical conditions in many public spaces. And after that we made a speaker which was designed to avoid most of the problems.
